The Bar Loves Artemis Pebdani

Artemis Pebdani in Masters of Sex
I know this is kinda random, but I refuse to get sucked back into the gloom and doom of blogging about white racism all the time.  Yes, I realize it can bring in a higher readership than blogging positive stuff about POC...but fuck that.

So today we're delving back into the roots of the Bar, and celebrating successful artists of color.  Oh...you didn't know? (To be fair, I didn't know she was family either until I learned her real name).  The fabulous comedienne you see above is the Iranian-born-turned-Texas-buxom-belle Artemis Pedbani.  You may know her better as Madame Vice-President Susan Ross (Scandal), thank you very much.

I know, right????

Shondaland and fans may not be seeing eye-to-eye these days, but I think we can all agree that adding 38-years-young Pebdani to the show was one of the smartest moves they've made in a long, long time.

If anyone of you are still watching the show, what are your thoughts?  And what do you think my latest crush????

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! A lot of people will bring up all the negative things that happen, but rarely dwell on the positive things. I found myself getting sucked into that and it is not a healthy space. It traps you in a vicious cycle.

On to Artemis Pedbani! WOW! When I looked at the first picture I thought she looked familiar, but I wasn't sure from where. Then I scrolled down and my jaw hit the floor! Talk about day and night roles. I have never watched Masters of Sex, but want to catch and episode to compare it to her Scandal role.

I have never watched Scandal except for sporadic episodes here and there. I have recently turned in just to watch Artemis! I LOVE her character. The "love triangle" her character was involved in was awesome. It should be required watching (especially the last episode) for all women on how to handle the situation and keep it moving. In other words do not let ANYONE screw with your mission! Do YOU boo boo!
