Okay, so let's talk Bryce Williams (#FuckYourManifesto)

Why Aren't the Families of Vester Flanagan's Murder Victims Being Asked if They Forgive Him Yet?
The U.S. Is Officially Averaging More Than One Mass Shooting Every Day So Far in 2015

So this is kind of like an open thread; say what y'all want. I'll even start: these shooters who go after unarmed, unsuspecting people need to quit with the "manifestos." Fuck your manifestos. The fact that you wanted to commit/attempt suicide, take a few people with you, and make sure to have the whole world know about it, tells us everything we need to know about you. Your manifesto is automatically rendered meaningless, because regardless of your motivations, your methods are all the same.

In addition to automatically executing any mass shooter who survives (by firing squad, and within in a week, mind you...don't drag the shit out), I think an additional law should pass allowing mainstream news outlets to cover information about the killer for just one day, and then go silent for all eternity.  Don't give these dickheads the breaking news, the this-just-ins, or a single extra minute on prime time.  Don't glamorize or sensationalize their asses.  For the duration of the week that the shooter has left to live, focus on their victims and their families.  After that, no more attention.

Questions?  Comments?  Dirty looks?

  1. This reminds me of an "accidental' shooting that happened in an Indian family's home. The daughter had a white guy friend who was a "gun aficionado." They allowed him to watch their home while they were away on vacation. The girl wanted to play a prank on him. He was carrying a gun and armed her cousin who was staying at the house with him. When she comes out to surprise him he shoots her, killing her instantly. The family, being rather nice people, do not press charges against him and he goes free. So yeah. Seriously Strange discussed the story and tons of people in the comment were blaming the girl for her death. Rather than the guy who probably shouldn't have given another person a guy and have been armed in someone else's home. He should not have been armed period. He should have gone to jail or at least had right to bear arms revoked permanently.

For the most part the grandstanding around guns in the states reminds me of the sense of entitlement our police have and how so many people are okay with it. Like the attitude doesn't just stop with individual gun owners, it is systematic. People are okay with police officers beating black women on the street for being "disrespectful." Of course they don't blame other people for gun violence or they don't see anything wrong with violence.

Dear, its never going to happen. Why? Because sensationalism sells. A mass shooter will bring in more viewers than two little girls shot while doing homework (Taije Chambliss/Jamyla Bolden). The death penalty. Please that is a joke. Just take a look at those being executed now. The majority of their crimes were committed in the 70s or early 80s. Your chance of dying of old age on death row are greater then being executed.

We have a lot of people whose feelings get hurt and they want to cause hurt back. They do not know how to deal with those feelings. I do not enjoy going out a lot because you never know when some butt hurt person will bust through the door and shoot everyone. My wife left me...let's go shoot some people. I lost my job...time to go shoot some people. Our gun laws that are a complete joke to the rest of the world. I really do not see them changing because the NRA has a choke hold on DC.

  3. Oh, and one more thing - stop using mental illness as an explanation for their violence. When the courts go with the 'mental illness defense', it usually means that the person was so mentally incapacitated that they couldn't tall right from wrong and/or control their actions.

If you can sit down, plan your shooting and escape plan, write a manifesto, and record the crime either during the commission or in its aftermath? You ain't THAT crazy.
