the fact that the words "tasteful" and "sexual assault" are used in the same sentence is just beyond appalling. and who would be comfortable with a rape scene? really?

    1. The same assholes hiding behind the concept of "art". There's nothing artistic or tasteful about sexual assault, but these sociopaths will hide behind the idea of art and the First Amendment while acting out all their resentful and vindictive fantasies towards women.

  3. All this tells me is that men think way too much with their dicks.

    1. And misogynist dicks at that. It's not enough that she be young, and slim, and busty, and pretty, and preferably white, she must also be hurt and humiliated as well.

    1. They do. It's Elliot Rodger Syndrome.

  5. I am not surprised by any of this. Unfortunately there are many low budget films that have women in these demeaning roles. It's just an example of these toolboxes using the head between their legs and not the one between their shoulders.

  6. I know this is off topic but this to me reminds me of that disgusting piece of human filth Anthony Cumia from Sirius radio of Opie&Anthony misogyny toward black women. Him and his outrageous racist and misogynistic tweets because he was being a pervert trying to snap pictures of unsuspecting women. It all goes hand in hand with misogyny against women.

    1. Yep. I read about this low-life yesterday and he is just that. He claimed that he was attacked by the victim which I do not believe whatsoever. I've also also read where he was fired from the show. He'll probably end up on Fox News or some other loser conservative show.

  7. Sadly, misogyny rules the entertainment industry. The fools who are making the decisions will excuse their bullshittery the usual line: sex sells.

Why the hell are the words 'tasteful' and 'sexual assault' used in the same sentence? Not to mention the words 'comfrotable' and 'rape'!? Seriously?!?

    1. That's another excuse I forgot about, the idea that sex (and pretty much anything "shocking"/"controversial") sells, but in the low-budget film world, it doesn't. if you read the other casting calls, actors getting paid is a huge issue. This is misogynistic indulgence, nothing more.

I read through the Tumblr *blesses self*, and all I could think of was this interview with Shirley Maclaine. They couldn't wait to kick women back into the bedroom, so to speak.

Oh sweet Jesus. Check out the casting call for 'Straight Outta Compton', if you haven't already seen it.

Keep showing your shit-caked ass, Hollywood!

    2. Oooooh.....

Did you see the part of the advertisement that put medium skinned to dark skinned females with poor bodies on the "D"level. That is horrible and Dr.Dre and Ice Cube support this? Wow!a major slap in the face.

    3. The thing is, you don't have to have a poor body to be D-level if you look at it. Dark-skinned is NOT allowed at the C-level, so dark-skin regardless of body type is automatically kicked to D-level based on this hiearchy.
Also notice the use of the word "classy" for light-skinned and non-black women. Actually their fave Beyonce wouldn't even be A-level using this hiearchy b/c her hair is fake.

    4. Exactly. Now the casting director ( Sande Alessi) says that she made a " mistake. C'mon now! her half hearted explanation..if you want to call it that...reminds of how some White racist will purposely blurt out a racist statements then lie when they say " I'm sorry". Just like the shallow apologies , the shallow explanation are equally as pitiful. Sande knew what she was doing. She was fooling nobody by herself.

'Mistake', my ass. Their only 'mistake' was being so blatantly open about it, although they usually hide it just as well as a child who thinks a blanket will make them invisible.

Ok...here's another serving of Casting Fail - Black Movie Edition. Meet Missy Eliot and Timbaland, folks.

Whatever Hollywood is smoking, they need to keep it to themselves. That stuff is too potent and mind-altering if they think these two look like Missy and Timbaland.

    1. Wendy Williams is in charge so that explains it all.
