  1. Some of the poorest areas in the US are mostly white and staunchly Republican. In the red as a beet conservative in Republican rural areas you can see that reservation communities in those counties are blue when it comes to voting! South Dakota is a good one to take a peak at as you can clearly see where the rez's are. You can see the same in Michigan. http://elections.nytimes.com/2012/results/president

My area is a union democratic county with a good amount of salt of the earth liberals but also has its share of rednecks and hicks who vote against their own interest. However we are one of few counties in Northern Michigan that goes blue when election time rolls around! In the 2012 Presidential election we were 1/3 counties in Northern Michigan that went blue. I would say this community is kind of a bubble but without Prius driving yuppies and gentrification, whew!

  2. Yiiii...now society worries about Black people being ghetto? Wow!

Seriously, Like I've mentioned on another story, poor White people are the most manipulated "minority" among other minorities. Although Lyndon was a racist himself, he was right with his quote. That is what White society has been doing to other POCs... dividing them and manipulate them by making them feel that they're exceptional to other races ,class and cultures and like most of the butt kissers, you will be humiliated and be reminded that you're still underneath him. Sad!

    1. George Wallace went to the rural areas of Alabama to see what the poor Whites wanted to get their needs met. When he went there, he quickly found out for himself that the poor Whites' attitudes was that they did not care whether or not they had roads, schools, hospitals, indoor plumbing, etc. They just wanted to know that they were better than the Blacks. Imagine, people who can't even spell their own names in Alphabet soup looking down on a whole race of people, even if several members of that race are ten times more intelligent, hard-working, civilized, etc.

Whiteness is a hell of a drug!

  3. Yep. We hear from republicans how we need to get rid of welfare and all these entitlements and abortion and these poor whites vote for those. Well republican states use the most welfare and whites are the largest recipient of these "entitlement programs."

Its also a big reason I hate Duck Dynasty. They are freaking yuppies who are trying to fool poor whites that they too can become millionaires and they don't need no education.

  4. When minorities are poor then we are called lazy dregs on society looking for a handout who live in this place called "the ghetto". But when whites are poor they are called hard working real Americans and the backbone of the country who live in this place called "the heartland". They will also probably never figure out this doublespeak is the way rich whites keep poor whites poor.

How a race of people who stole a country from one group of people , enslaved another group of people and have been exploiting brown labor ever since can believe they have any sort of work ethic is beyond me.

    1. And you are shamed any way you go when you are a person of color, mixed race, multi-racial, etc. If you ask for supports when you are down and out such as, food stamps, help to pay the bills, you are shamed. If you have a good job, you must of been hired as a token. Either way shamed for existing in the skin you are in.

Oh they have a work ethic alright; preoccupied and dedicated to the preservation of white supremacy now, white supremacy tomorrow and white supremacy forever. Yet while whites shore up the ramparts, people of color present an ever present danger to their way of life. The American Empire as we know it will one day fall to an enemy of color. And just as many Japanese citizens walked around in a daze post-war (for they had never known defeat), so shall it be with this nation when white privilege ends. There are some sins that simply demand a proper accounting.
