What the hell is this?

Last night, I went to see Alex Cross (which is another conversation unto itself), when I beheld this:

I-I just...I-I can't.

  1. a shootem up flick glorifying (white male) violence and guns and "gosh I'm old" jokes so we don't think this Ahnold vehicle is all about how "he still got it" and HE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL YOU ARE DEAD!

    or did I miss something?

  2. Chile, I am a fan of Alex Cross, and when I saw that they were casting Tyler Perry as Alex Cross, I said "hell the fuck no" and moved on in life.

All this...I wonder why Idris dropped out of it.

    2. Please tell, b/c when I heard about this movie, I was thinking, how many people had to say no for them to cast Madea?

    3. The directing was atrocious, the plot cliched, and the casting was D-list...Tyler included.

I found out about Tyler Perry's casting via Issa Rae's blog a year or so back, and thought, "What, Chiwetel Ejiofor wasn't answering his phone?!".

LOL...that's what I say when an obvious choice isn't cast.

I wonder if Ejiofor or Elba had been cast, if it would've fixed the dialogue and directing problem.

    6. @Leoprincess, hopefully Chiwetel wasn't answering his phone b/c he is too busy trying to figure out how to profess his undying love for me...

And Idris needs to work on that next season of Luther. I know that making fewer episodes means for higher quality TV from the British, but it kills me that every show I get hooked on makes only 4-6 episodes every year to 18 months if I am lucky...

  3. I saw that trailer when I went to go see the Expendables 2 (which is ALSO another conversation unto itself). Between that trailer and Stallone's for a moment I thought they were both spoofs and part of the movie. Imagine my shock and dismay when I learned this was a real film coming out.

Imagine my denial. I was, like, "There's no way it's actually him."

  4. This movie is about sucking the governor's dick. Like this man doesn't have a big enough ego as is. I don't celebrate philanderers and people who harm others with their political power.

    1. I guess we should've seen it coming. Wifey took half his check in the divorce, and he now's gotta try to make it back.

  5. Lawdhamercy. This dude refuses to bow out and age gracefully. Probably be trying to lie to himself at age 90, being in action films with an oxygen tank and shit if some fool let him.

    1. LOL! Yeah, I can see him with an oxygen tank in a wheelchair talking about, "I'll be back (heavy weezing)" while rolling away holding an AK-47.
