Why Priscilla Dang Drinks Free at the Bar

Dang was on a run in a Vancouver, Wash., neighborhood last Friday when two teenagers on bikes, one 16, the other 18, approached her from behind. "One went in front and made eye contact with me like a smirk, like I thought he was saying 'Hi,'" said Dang of the encounter to KATU. "The next thing I knew I was pretty much groped on my bottom behind left side."

Unfortunately for the alleged gropers, the 23-year-old woman has taken kung-fu lessons since she was 5. Her family owns the Summit Wushu Academy, an Oregon martial arts studio.

She instantly pushed one of the teenagers to the ground and made him apologize. When the second teenager called her a derogatory term, Dang says she snapped, hitting him in the face several times while simultaneously dodging his punches. According to The Columbian, when he pulled out a knife she used his bike as a shield until a passerby showed up and called 911.

"I think they knew they messed with the wrong girl," Dang added to KATU.

Both suspects fled the scene and were later apprehended by sheriff's deputies, reports KPTV. The 18-year-old suspect is now facing fourth-degree assault charges, while the 16-year-old will be judged by a juvenile prosecutor. (Source)
Oh, snap!!!

  1. They picked the wrong one to fuck with.

And you know what. It also doesn't sit well with me that these two dudes had a knife and were bold enough to put their hands on a female because that shit could've easily been a potential rape. Because if not Dang, they could've done that to another woman.

I'm glad she kicked their asses and they arrested those two bastards because Dang probably saved another woman's life.

*Orders Ms. Dang a double of what she's having*

If they haven't done this sort of thing already. They were awfully confident, with the a strategy and everything. Who knows what all they've done before they came across Dang.

    3. Me too! LOL at them.

Seriously though, it kinda makes me consider taking self-defense classes...I'm not the "petite/fragile" type at all and I haven't had problems before but I might try to protect myself, I have nothing to lose. I've never fought in my whole life, yeah.

  2. I'm glad she fought back because so many don't, are afraid to, freeze and/or don't know how.

This reminds me about my coworkers and when I told them about this unknown guy that said unnecessary words about my chest as I was walking by into a store. When I told my coworkers they accepted it, saying that is what guys do/say. I'm thinking no. Once you accept it as the norm then you believe you deserve it for being a female. Then what are you teaching your sons as acceptable behavior.

I hate that there are guys out there that think/believe/have been shown they can get away with crap like what they attempted to do to Dang and possibly succeeded with others.

  4. Wish I had been trained like this when some dude decided to rub his junk on my behind. I froze up and said nothing. Then some older man came up and asked the guy if he knew me and then the perv left. This has encouraged me to take self defense classes.

  5. She is badass. Glad the attackers were arrested and charge. Wouldn't be surprised if they have a history of sexual assault and other victims come forward.

  6. I read about this and was so glad that she stuck up for herself so many women won't and don't and should. And yes I can only imagine how many other women they've done that to.
