Really Quickly: Count the Fail

Don't worry. I'll wait.

Greek gods are cooler than any other religion's gods. I wish THEY were real, instead of this invisible loving god crap. BRING ON ZEUS!

  3. And obviously the fact that this youtube commenter feels the need to be oppressed by jealous, violent, greedy and pervert gods.

  4. I'll say 207 cups of fail. A cup for each second of that trailer (205), a cup for the crappy graphics and "acting" and a cup for the HORRIBLE music choice for the trailer. I'll overlook the recycling of the same old Greek Mythology storyline.

      You noticed that too, huh?

  5. Where have I seen this before? Pretty much another heroic white guy film with violence, CGI, rock music, etc. etc. And prerequisite blonde white woman for sex appeal and damsel saving.

Commenter must be dumb as shit. Apparently hasn't read the old testament. The Christian god is not always all loving. In fact he can rain hell upon you. Also why Zeus of all gods? Why not Hades? Hades is probably one of the most faithful and least rapey of all the Greek Gods. You won't catch him eating his children (though I doubt he could have any). Disney has really mischaracterized Zeus. He's not the loving humorous father figure people imagine.

  6. First off, how dare they fuck up the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams?"

Second of all, after the hot bowl of shit that was "Clash of the Titans," I'm not even trying to be a part of anything "Titan" related, unless it's Saturn's moon.

Third of all, said YouTube commenter must not recall from Greek mythology that Zeus raped and impregnated anything he could get his hands on, Hades is a pedophile, and Poseidon was no better than either of his brethren. Any woman who spurned them did not come out of it whole. Just ask Medusa.

Fourth, ain't a one of those mofos Greek (but I'm so beyond Hollywhite's casting failures).

Lastly, I adore Liam Neeson. He's one of my White Men Who Could Get It. He's trying to keep busy since Natasha (his wife) died, but I can't support him in this.

    1. These people - the filmmakers and the fans - don't read shit. They see a cool picture, write down a name, and suddenly think they know something.

The commenter didn't strike as me as mature or literate in the slightest.

  7. I can't view the trailer at work, but I've seen one for this film and I would like to add that Andromeda wife of Perseus was Ethiopean yet in this film she is blonde and white.

    1. As long as Hollywhite is Hollywhite, we will never see Andromeda or Cleopatra properly cast.

    2. Unless an some actual make it..like a proper action flick (not the scantly clad dress that they give the characters) I mean have Andromeda (in class and style) who can give Monte Cristo a Run for his money. Instead of a white damsel in destress.

  8. I guess the only good god is a white god. Course, just as with Thor, if they had gone for diversity by casting just one black god- he would have been killed off first. (Like the only black mutant in X-Men: First Class) This effort takes me back to Jason and the Argonauts (which I personally think is a better picture). Moreover, just as in science-fiction, there’s no room for blacks in Greek mythology; it just muddles up the fantasy for young white males.

Every hero has to have a damsel to save and in the white mind; both the hero (and said damsel) must be white. So it follows in religion: Jesus has to be white. This is the cornerstone whites have built their religion on since this nation’s founding.

Scripture says, "It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God." So no... he's not just an invisible- loving God; he's also a God of wrath. And if Jesus is the living image of an invisible God and he's white; then it stands to reason God the Father is white as well. (So thinks the white mind). We see the same recurrence of the White God mentality in the upcoming film 'Prometheus'.

At least with "Prometheus", most of the people responsible for the in-movie fuckery that can die are going to die.

      PAINFULLY.

...that shady ass android playing with stuff he has no business messing with, I dunno. Sir Ridley is talking about sequels so something awful is going to happen to him eventually.

*is only going to watch Idris Elba anyway and knows that, as the sole PoC, he won't make it to the end*

Belive me it gives white morons an ego boost and brainwash to think that they are better than anyone else.

I'm surprised Clash of the Titans did well enough to warrant a sequel. O_O

Though I know my action-junkie friends are going to be all over this like ants on sugar. =_=

  10. I guess I'm not seeing much fail here. But then again I actually saw the first film *shakes head* and am simply not surprised by the sequel.

Actually scratch that. I'm shocked that a sequel was made.

  11. More regurgitated crap I won't be seeing. I love how they had a fit about a Black Norse god, but they didn't have sh*t to say when Black people brought up the fact that Andromeda was an Ethiopian princess. Yet she has been consistently portrayed as a White woman? Besides, these Greek gods were an avaricious, petty and overall nasty lot of beings. They were extra rape-y too. smh

    1. You noticed that, too? There's a reason why I take pleasure in killing them in God of War. -shifty eyes- What? I play video games. T.C. Carson plays Kratos, I had to play it! Although the fact that T.C's character is ashy white doesn't really help my argument, either.

      I'm serious. http://charliewen.typepad.com/photos/god_of_war_2/kratos.jpg

He looks like a black man that's been dipped in white paint.

    2. The greek gods love to rape women. Zeus is a huge rapist creeper! Who rapes women looking like a Swan?! I can't believe he is such a creeper! i dont think i could worship gods who do evil things. Kill them suckers in your game girl!

Yes, shame isn't it? It’s usually the first thing I think of when I see a lone black character in a science fiction film. But maybe Sir Ridley will surprise us, as they did in Resident Evil: Afterlife. Course they made sure to keep the Negro out of all the action sequences. Wouldn’t feel right telling them white women what to do; being all hero-like. But I must see Prometheus; just for the eye candy.

  13. Every thing is wrong with this. Especially the ANACHRONISMS ...like wtf.

  14. What gets me about all these white produced mythology/fantasy films is how all the villians and monsters are dark and black.
