The Ankhesen Mié Lexicon, Volume IV

It's baaaaaaaaack!!!

So let's get right to it, shall we?

Black Cinderella Thinking

Whenever a BW/WM relationship falls apart in the public eye because the WM was racially inappropriate or negligent, there are some black women who automatically - and incorrectly - leap to the defense of BW/WM relationships as a whole, rather than focusing on the issue of racial abuse in interracial relationships.  Platitudes often abound about how things will be "different" for them, and that black women who like white men shouldn't give  up hope.  Meanwhile, white men, for the most part, tend to stay comfortably silent on the issue.  Their glaring silence is often conveniently either ignored or missed by the aforementioned black women.

Drones
If a million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing.

~ Anatole France
This is a term for most white Americans when discussing issues of race.  I derived it from the concept of Borg Drones being linked by a hive mind.  Drones all respond to things the same way, often verbatim.  Yet each drone (mine, not the Borg's) insists they are an individual with thoughts untainted by their upbringing or their society.  Each considers themselves unique, often "special", and immune to social and familial racial conditioning.

Drones tend to focus on "agreement" where opinions are concerned.  When seeing/hearing other opinions similar to theirs, drones are either comfortable or excited and tend to point out how others agree with their thoughts, so naturally, they must be correct.  It never occurs to drones that they've simply been conditioned to generate the same thoughts to begin with.  In fact, they adamantly resist the notion, insisting they are each unique and special individuals; after all, all their friends and family say so.

Drones can also be referred to as Lemmings or Sheeple; they can engage in "drone-speak" or "droning" (which is different from trolling, but still on the same level).

House Cassie

This one just came to me.

"House Cassie" refers to a black female fan of K-Pop who ignores or excuses racism from non-black fans of K-Pop.  In their desperation to belong, House Cassies will act as apologists for such behavior. They will even go so far as to accuse hired black female dancers/video models of inappropriate behavior when these women have done nothing wrong or are simply complying with their contracts.

Rented Negro

Courtesy of blogger Abagond: "A Rented Negro is a black person who is paid or otherwise helped by whites for putting a black face on white opinion and power. An Uncle Tom with stock options.

"...The black talking heads you see on American television news are mostly Rented Negroes: unlike most blacks few are to the left. That cannot be an accident. In the blogosphere you can see the black left in all its glory – but on television it is strangely absent.

"...Rented Negroes can be on the left, like Harmon, or on the right, like Alan Keyes. It is not the opinions that make you rented but renting them to white people for their benefit, giving them a black face to hide behind."

The Caddell Derail

"Heritage, not Hate" is the new slogan of the South in its futile, hypocritical attempt to make the Confuckerate flag appear to be a benign cultural symbol.  This derail specifically is named for Annie Caddell, who moved into a predominantly and historically black neighborhood - once terrorized by the KKK - and decorated her home with Confuckerate flags, insisting that it was 1) her right, 2) her heritage, and 3) she couldn't be racist because she had black friends.

The "Human Race" Derail

This is an argument drones often use to shut down discussions about racism.  When people of color bring up the issue of racial inequality, a drone will say something like, "As far as race is considered, there is only ONE race of people on this planet.... The Human Race. We are all brothers and sisters, we just look different!"

To which bloggers like Brotha Wolf reply, "I find it hard to believe that a race that prides itself in a false sense of supremacy now all of a sudden believes that humans are just one big family."

The Nita "Jade" Hanson Award

This award goes out to any black woman in a consensual relationship with a racist white man.  It's named after Nita Hanson, a black woman who called into Dr. Laura as "Jade" and asked for advice on how to deal with her husband's racist family, and the fact that her husband of three years never once defended her.  Most recent recipient: Halle Berry.

Victoria's Law

The crux of Victoria's Law is her description of what she calls the White Chamber: "The White Chamber exists anywhere and everywhere. It appears in break rooms, bathrooms, automobiles, behind closed doors, even in the great outdoors. It is always just out of earshot of unintended listeners. It’s a private space that you, as a white person, are invited to be inside of at any given moment in the day. It is in the White Chamber that you will find out the beliefs your white family members, white close friends, white acquaintances, white coworkers, and even white total strangers think you share with them based purely on your skintone. These beliefs are not socially acceptable to utter in public. But inside the White Chamber, they’re facts. It’s both implicitly and explicitly understood that you feel exactly the same way that other people inside the White Chamber feel. Your skin color is the secret indicator of that."

and introducing Witchsistah's Law

I've been contemplating for a long time what this law would be.  Finally, a pattern hit me: Witchsistah's Law pertains to the notion of white obsession/desperate need to see people of color bound by servitude.  To whites, serving white people is a person of color's natural state of being.  Whether it's a black Guinevere whose character has her beginnings as a servant girl, or the white resistance to the evidence of a wealthy African woman living in Roman Britain, or their eager anticipation for the 2011 film The Help, Witchsistah's Law purports that whites, especially now that there's a black family in the White House, are succumbing to their aversive racism more than ever.  They are not comfortable with seeing POC in non-servile positions of wealth, influence, and authority, and certainly not as people desired, protected, and respected by white people (or in some cases, each other).

That's why in the 21st Century, shows like Night Stalker can get canceled after 6 episodes, Merlin can get shoved into the Friday night death slot, while a book like The Help can have over 2.2 million sales the year it comes out, and turn into a multimillion-dollar film the very next year.

  1. Oh Witchsistah's Law... how it disgusts me. As things progress I bet this will be the only reason you'll see any Hollywood slavery movies. I shudder at the thought.

Reminds me of the White Chambers Eddie Murphy was privy to in the sketch, White Like Me.

On a related note: Jamie Foxx and Samuel Jackson have been dubbed to play escaped slaves in Quentin Tarantino’s spaghetti western, ‘Django Unchained.’

In Hollywood’s eyes we’re forever the Mammy’s, Bucks- Coons… or ‘Tragic Mulattos’. Moreover, Whites can revisit any part of this country’s history, be it drama, comedy or science fiction and still be on top. With regards to the parts Hollywood offers nonwhites; the further we go back in time the closer we return to that white ideal. Whites often romanticize that way of life by passing these fantasies off as serious work.

Wow. The salary offer must've been really good.

Also, I'm over Tarantino. If it ain't Jackie Brown, I'm not interested.

  5. Individuality for most whites in America only come up when their character is questioned. That's when you see how collective their minds are when you hear the usual responses. In other words they claim this is an individualistic society, but when issues of race appear they think alike and respond predictably on cue.

  6. I cringe just thinking that there are some Black women who are actually that backwards towards themselves, especially those K-pop fangirls. I'm not sure whether people should disown those girls or feel sad for them. They must be real delusional to justify the words of their racist "friends"'

I have came across several websites that sounded like the "Black Cinderella story", where as you said, seems more the women excusing what WM do,but at the same time will find all the problem with Black men. There was one site where the author seemed to excuse a female for saying that she wouldn't want to date Black men because they won't commit to Black women and the other gross stereotypes that follows them. This website as a whole doesn't really celebrate the unity of the these couples, but rather to down people of their own race. The snobbery was incredible on the site.

Several years ago, I've came across another anti-Black/excusing racism article about this Black woman who became a member..out of all things..the Philadelphia chapter of the NAAAWP! She said her that she joined because she thought that Blacks committed the most crimes. The awful thing about this is that the White members will not let her participate in their rallies because ..Voila...She's BLACK!. Even crazier, this organization were recruiting Blacks and Jews( ?!?!?). All of it is just plain incomprehensible to me.

  9. @ M - And people thought Aaron McGruder was exaggerating with his Uncle Ruckus character. Also, I think I know exactly which Black Cinderella site you're referring to. Almost every entry was "White Man Good, Black Man Bad".

  10. There's an NAAWP? I could of gone the rest of my life without knowing that. I really wish I did. I don't even have to google it to know it's just a group of Lemmings.

  11. Some black people who would join an organization like the NAAWP or excuse racist statements by whites suffer from internalized racism, self-hatred, the colonized mindset...Whatever you want to call it, it's just the same. They think like whites, and see nothing wrong with it because they haven't been challenged. They also see whites as "good people" and blacks as "bad people." It's sad really, but it's a result of them giving in to the matrix of whiteness.

  12. I'm still smh over the Cassies. And now the NAAWP? Seriously? I mean, some things I just didn't need to know about. I should return to my rock.

  13. I believe you when you said there was an NAAWP, because there's also an organization called the White Panthers.

  14. Yep! I first read about the woman,Courtney Mann, about 5( or more years ago) I couldn't believe it. I was in some form of denial or something. Unfortunately, it was just unbelievable to read.
Initially, I read about this nutty article in, what was ,EMERGE magazine. You can also see it in thebackpacker.com/trailtalk/thread/32708,-1.php

  15. Brother Wolf,

For groups who express their extreme hatred of Blacks and other non White people, they sure love to take part of the name of Black Panthers/ the NAACP for their cause. I don't see why White racists like them feel like minorities are " threatening" their supposed rights.I guess some of them forget about their history of whose been corrupting this world.
