Underappreciated Actress of Color #42: Tamala Jones

Even as we honor the dead from hereon out, we musn't forget to celebrate the living as well.  I've been meaning to do a post on the very lovely Tamala Jones for a while now...even though she got breast implants and said in an interview she wanted to do a movie where she could show them off.

Anyways, she's a grown-ass woman capable of making her own damn decisions so...no judgment from Moi.

Born in 1974 in Cali, Tamala is really beautiful and likes showing a LOT of skin.  It's not surprising, then, that in 2001 she was voted one of the year's ten sexiest women by Black Men Magazine.  She started out as a model, and then got into acting.  Remember back in the 1990s when black movie after black movie after other black movies came out? *nods* She was one of the goddesses of that era.

These days, she's one of the main I reasons I watch Castle, where she plays Dr. Lanie Parish, a medical examiner.  Notice how little info is known about her, but how much info is known about the white chick.

*shakes head*
