Gabon Deports Several Whites for Racism

(Thanks, Witchsistah!)

And yes...you really did just read that.  From the article:
Authorities in Gabon recently expelled several European nationals for racism. Those expelled are mainly expatriates who worked in the oil sector. According to the local media, Blacks in the Central African country continue to fall victim to racism at the hands of some Whites.

Many Europeans working in the Gabonese oil industry at Port-Gentil, the country’s economic capital, were expelled between late September and early October for racism, l’Union, a local newspaper, announced on Thursday.

Sharon Lyndah Bayliss, former chief financial officer at KCA Deutag, is among the deported expatriates. Known for her repeated tendency toward the anti-social behavior pattern, Sharon had already received a deportation notice coupled with a ban on residing in Gabon, prior to the recent deportation.

But, according to l’Union, "It is rumored that deals within both the oil industry and the national security services facilitated her return to Gabon".

Another expatriate, Ms. Corinne Fizz, chief financial officer at Weatherford, was escorted to the central African country’s border for "racism and discrimination against other employees of the company."

There are also reports that Vincent Perez, who works with ISMS, a company founded by his Father, was expelled for ’’outrageous’’ remarks towards the Gabonese authorities.

...The scourge of racism and segregation, according to observers, is rife in Port Gentil. "Some bars and restaurants, including the famous San Lorenzo and the Ranch, consider the presence of Black customers as an intrusion," the newspaper reads.

Meanwhile, many Gabonese have expressed shock over the emergence of such anti-social behaviour among European expatriates who have since time immemorial enjoyed some of the most friendly conditions in the country.

...A few months ago, the National Union of Oil Employees (ONEP), during a strike action, had called on the government to involve expatriates from the country’s oil sector in Union activities, because many of them (White workers) are illegal.

Some also argue that those so-called illegally employed White expatriates hold some of the most important positions of responsibility.
*sigh* White belief in entitlement.  *shakes head* Ain't nothing it can't ruin.

Most commenters, of course, commended Gabon's decision to deport these miserable wastes of flesh, but as usual...there's always a least one.....
Keep deporting Whites and your sorry black asses will end up like those blacks in Zimbabwe. I wish we Americans could send our blacks back to you.
To be honest...I'm amused.

Nigerians say a drum beats loudest when it's about to burst. And everyone knows how a wounded and cornered animal behaves.  This commenter right here isn't speaking from a platform of strength and knowledge. It's desperation. I mean, they live in a country basically owned by China. And now they're hearing about Africans - supposedly the lowliest of the low - having the audacity to kick racist white people off their land for not having some respect (every indigenous POC's wet dream, by the way).  And these are Gabonese.  How many Americans know about Gabon or could point it out on a map?

Wow...Africans deporting white folks.  Deporting.  Wow...that must just sting.

Welcome to the 21st Century, POC.  I sincerely think we're going to like it here.

White people really think they are biologically superior, don't they? It's hard to imagine where white people would be without all of the stolen resources and slave labor they accumulated with their violent imperialism. Western industrialization would not have been possible without cheap cotton from the United States. Cheap cotton, of course, was planted on the blood-soaked land of native americans and picked by black slaves. Intercontinental trade would not have been possible without the railroads built by Chinese men kidnapped after the Opium War. White people did NOT build America, we did.

How dare you come into someone's Motherland, AFRICA of all places and have the nerve to talk madness. That's like going into someone's home and taking a massive dump and expecting people to be alright with your vile actions. Good for them! If Africa were SOOOOOO bad like white people like to say, then why the fuck do they keep going there and not wanting to leave? Good for the Africans. I'm glad they are starting to get hip to their antics.

Why thank you; I do too. It's very empowering.

That the commenter was indignant about white people being deported is too hilarious. That's all I can think - hilarious.

  8. Okay, first and for most why allow foreign companies so much control on your soil? WHY?
No, not just yet, I need to see where this is going before I'll start clapping.

Much of this is mindset. Africans are generally laidback, go with the flow of nature, and not trying to presume to control the universe.

Westerners...not so much. The Gabonese are just doing what most African people do: be nice. But everyone has their limits. Notice that the Gabonese weren't checking for the validity of papers at this point. If someone was racist, they got deported - papers be damned.

And if laidback folks like the Gabonese are doing this, you know it had to be bad.

  10. Being laid back is great an all but sometimes you should just be laid back with your "peeps" only!
I'm glad they woke the hell up, I wish that most/some African countries would do the same.

  11. Lol, this is amazing. I just can't laughing. Really I wish more African countries will follow Gabon's steps. How can a white person be racist to me in my own country? That's madness. The truth is that people here excuse ridiculous behaviour from whites because they have already internalised white worship. It is disgusting. Really more African countries need to do this, I'm looking at Zambia too.

Oh, honey, I co-sign all the way. I just hope that by Gabon doing this so openly, it will send a message across the whole continent, and beyond.

Really more African countries need to do this, I'm looking at Zambia too.

*gives Zambia a look as well*

That's another thing. The commenter says, "I wish we Americans could send our blacks back to you" as though it would be the equivalent of the Gabonese deporting whites off their land. It's not equal. That's their land; they didn't commit genocide to get it. The equivalent would be if Native Americans started deporting non-Native Americans for racism and God...do I wish they could.

    "We americans", eh?
    Mhmmm. Why am not surprised?

Who wants to bet with me that that guy would have a hard time locating Africa (let alone Gabon!) on a world map?

  21. I'm still amused they just flat-out deported these people. It like, "Do not pass Go, do not collect $200, just get your ass back to where you came from." No lawsuit. No jail time. Just straight-up deportation.

That's the thing about laid-back folks. When you finally do reach their threshold, they unleash all the way.
